Some folks seem to want to bury the lede.

Hopefully these videos will not go the way of the Roswell Slides. Point being - whereas the Roswell Slides were a complete con job, it seems as though these videos could actually be mined for scientific gold, despite the apparent dubious nature of TTSA.

And thanks for your great work and providing your site as home base for the RSRG.Tomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12542954041094752206noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1071963771262525979.post-12987441944415506602019-06-17T22:06:24.951-05:002019-06-17T22:06:24.951-05:00Apparently, you haven't read all the material ...Apparently, you haven't read all the material available online (John Greenwald, Keith Kloor, for example) presenting evidence refuting Elizondo’s “background”, and just commented on my comment.

TTSA loses credibility with every claim it makes that has no clear source (there's never a direct "chain of custody" leading to TTSA’s possession of the evidence that can be verified),’ and it never gives a straight answer to direct questions about the source of any of its claims or evidence.

It made a fictional assertion about the background of one of its most prominent figures, who's acting as its spokesman. Several Pentagon sources have responded that while at the Pentagon Elizondo had no responsibilities to AATIP (again, see Greenwald and Kloor), though TTSA continues to present him as having run the program.

After a while any smart person would develop serious doubts about TTSA.

TTSA identifies itself as an entertainment company (not a scientific research organization) and is behaving exactly as if that’s what it is. It’s using the news media as its PR/marketing mouthpiece. And desperate for revenue, the media have been all too willing to take on that role.
purrlgurrlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06519835482606629362noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1071963771262525979.post-16928846354913382702019-06-16T15:08:39.691-05:002019-06-16T15:08:39.691-05:00It may be the case that AATIP or, TTSA were not &q...It may be the case that AATIP or, TTSA were not "a reality
of the event that occurred", and analysis of the events at
hand should not, of course, be tied to one individual or
organization. Business ventures with intelligence connections
may also be potentially susceptible to "outside" influences,
and motivations. It should not become a distraction. That being
said, personally for Mr.Elizondo, his own role in disseminating
and bringing this in part to light, shouldn't be doubted on
semantics alone. Let's see what other material comes to light,
with or without mention of TTSA.Dare_Devilhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07675663555185479150noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1071963771262525979.post-28892877349224981892019-06-16T14:32:18.623-05:002019-06-16T14:32:18.623-05:00Dare_Devil, On June 5, 2019, Alejandro Rojas poste...Dare_Devil, On June 5, 2019, Alejandro Rojas posted on Facebook (and also Twitter) a quote from Robert Powell of the Scientific Coalition for UAP Studies, who had hosted Luis Elizondo as the keynote speaker for their first conference on March 15, 2019. Powell made a statement trying to distance the investigation of Navy UFO cases from any controversy surrounding Tom DeLonge’s To The Stars or Luis Elizondo.

"Is Elizondo a government agent that is making up a UFO event and feeding it to the public? Not hardly. Zero evidence of that. Is Elizondo a neophyte in understanding the history of UFOs? Absolutely. Does he make claims that he cannot always support? Absolutely, as do many in this field. Here is what is important, and it's not Elizondo: the 2004 and 2015 events rest on their own merits independent of Elizondo and TTSA. Read the SCU report on the 2004 event and you will find that AATIP and TTSA are not part of the reality of the event that occurred. So here we have one of the most amazing modern UFO reports and the ufology world is off chasing Elizondo and worrying about whether he was "really" the Director or was he someone else, instead of researching these events. Let's not lose the Big Picture."

Facebook:
https://www.facebook.com/alejandro.rojas.in.space/posts/10217663475235275
Curt Collinshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13773941506205598439noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1071963771262525979.post-64134581266695340282019-06-16T14:28:48.226-05:002019-06-16T14:28:48.226-05:00WADR, this sounds like making fluff out of semanti...WADR, this sounds like making fluff out of semantics.
Mr. Elizondos apparently, and with some fact based evidence,
was among eight people with roles in the "project". He is listed
as such in the confirmed letter. While DIA "ran" the program,
he was from the OUSD(I) side, the lead guy> If he took a more active
role in analysis, etc. than the other members in the group, it could
mean he had the main active leadership role. Thus his claiming he "lead' the program, may be semantically debatable. It does NOT IMHO,
discredit him or impinge upon TTSAs motives. Frankly some people here
disparaging the program, due to the relatively low budget over the time
it was active, are out of line. Senator Reid himself doesn't dispute the scientific validity of the program. There are many reasons it may have been denied designation as a SAP, outside of lack of credibility.
I would also recommend for the more skeptical to check out SCUs independent, and to my review accurate, scientific analysis of the 2004 Nimitz sightings. Billy Cox's articles are more opinion pieces than news items, so worth reading, but not debating. Now, the coverage by Billy Cox in 1983 on the Cash-Landrum incident is the best investigative reporting ever done on the case, so he'll always have my admiration for that.Curt Collinshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13773941506205598439noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1071963771262525979.post-18122061354032392912019-06-15T09:03:15.380-05:002019-06-15T09:03:15.380-05:00I see you no longer comment on Devoid. Why is that?...I see you no longer comment on Devoid. Why is that?Joe P.https://www.blogger.com/profile/06296665825395287708noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1071963771262525979.post-86756237859800400262019-06-14T17:20:20.132-05:002019-06-14T17:20:20.132-05:00Anyone who still believes, at this point that Eliz...Anyone who still believes, at this point that Elizondo led AATIP is just kidding themselves. The need to believe in TTSA's claims has torpedoed any logic or common sense they might have.

AATIP sounds like a chump change boondoggle when compared to the enormity of the DoD's annual budgets. It’s a mere pittance of $22 million over 5 years - $4.4 million a year.

Most likely those who agreed to take on this side project got a pay bump for the duration of their assignment that was charged to that AATIP $22 million budget. And everything from airfares, to hotels, to taxis, to lunches ordered for onsite meetings, to photocopying, to dedicated laptops, to printer ink, etc., etc. was also charged to the AATIP budget. I bet money spent on actually investigating UFOs was the program’s smallest expense, given DoD’s proclivity for gross over payment for materials and services.

Meanwhile, TTSA is showing itself to be just another UFO sideshow, for which George Knapp is the perennial barker of choice. That reputable media sources such as the New York Times let themselves be huckstered into this tent isn't a validation of TTSA's claims. Instead, it's a sad indication of how deeply these media outlets are hurting financially. They'll now print things once worthy only of the old Weekly World News in order to try to boost readership, subscriptions, sales, and ad revenue.

Journalism in the US has sunk to lows not seen since the glory days of William Randolph Hearst. Sigh.
purrlgurrlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06519835482606629362noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1071963771262525979.post-63101491736216977362019-06-14T10:41:20.884-05:002019-06-14T10:41:20.884-05:00Luis Elizondo is close enough for me, and I'm ...Luis Elizondo is close enough for me, and I'm usually a bugger about such things.

RRRRRGrouphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04875523970644487204noreply@blogger.com
